The Fashion Movement We Can’t Move On From - House Of Enid
The story behind the artistic and sometimes uncomfortable angles of House of Enid haute couture is the result of a painful past. Designer Enid Almanza, developed photographic couture as a means of self expression and identity exploration after a stifling time. After years of experimenting with photography and fashion elements, a collection consisting of eight dresses with a few glasses and headpieces were then photographed and editorialized by a major publishing house in London. The rest as they say is history, but the style of Enid is future focused.

House of Enid reads like a high fashion storyboard that screams originality - with provocative high notes. When inspiration is pulled from the designer's own painful and limited past that is filled with anger and strife, combined with the dysfunctions of today from a socioeconomic and racial standpoint - the final work is represented as a visual autobiography of Enid. Luck cannot be credited for the world wide success that the unique fashion house has achieved in such a short time. Hard work, innovation and refusal to compromise his vision in exchange for fortune and fame has made House of Enid more than couture and artwork - but a name that is now synonymous with empowerment.
