March was a time to embrace the crazy! Last month, when nature couldn’t decide between winter chill and spring warmth, we found our best creative spark. Yep, it’s the perfect time to mix things up and get a little wild with our spaces.

Let’s take the madness of March and channel it into fun, fearless design. Think bold colors that pop, patterns that dance together (even if they’ve never been on the same dance floor before), and textures that you want to touch over and over. It’s all about breaking rules and making spaces that are truly, uniquely YOU.

My new mantra is turning the what-ifs into why-nots. Let’s throw caution to the wind and play with ideas that seem a bit out there. After all, if March can mix snowflakes and sunshine, we can definitely mix stripes and polka dots.

RECIPE No. 3
ROASTED POTATOES 

This recipe for my ultimate roast potatoes is super simple and leaves the softest, pillowy centre with the crunchiest of potatoes skins. Leaving the skin on when cooking adds extra crunch and holds the potato together when we parboil for longer than we typically would. The loaded butter added at the end brings a luxurious finish, perfect for the big day (or any other day of the week)

INGREDIENTS

40 ml rapeseed oil or olive oil

1 kg maris piper or desiree potatoes

2 heaped tablespoons of plain flour (optional)

60g salted butter

3 sprigs of rosemary

handful of garlic cloves, left in their skins


DIRECTIONS

Start by cleaning and preparing the potatoes as noted, leaving the skins on.

Place potatoes in a large pan of cold water, add a generous sprinkle of salt and bring to the boil, cook until potatoes are soft, longer than you usually would parboil around 12-15 minutes. You want to catch them just before they fall apart, the skin will cleverly hold the potatoes together.

Drain and place back in the pan with the lid on to steam dry. Add the flour after 5 minutes and gently shake the pan to bash the potatoes a little. This will add extra crunch.

Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius. Add your oil to a large roasting tray. This needs to be big enough for the potatoes to be spread out and not be overlapping. Once the oil is hot, after a few minutes add in your potatoes, turning them in the oil to coat all sides.

Place in the oven and roast for 30 minute before turning them.

To make the rosemary butter simply remove leaves from rosemary stalks, finely chop then muddle with a little salt and combine with butter. (this amount makes enough for two portions).After the potatoes have been in for around 40 minutes add in the cloves of garlic and rosemary butter. Turn potatoes in the butter and allow to cook for another 20 minutes or until evenly golden and crispy

Imagine a kid let loose in a clay playground, and you’ve got Jeremy in his studio—except this kid’s creations end up in the glossiest pages of Wallpaper, AD France, and T Magazine.

Jeremy’s journey to clay began in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and 25 years later, he’s still captivated by his muse. The APPARATUS co-founder has stayed true to his innate artistic inclinations.

His sculptures? To me, they’re the cool kids in the ceramic world—multifaceted, unique, and telling a deep and rich story of form and challenging what’s perceived as possible. Jeremy’s work dances along the fine line between perfection and imperfection, kind of like how we balance our coffee while sprinting for the morning subway. But here’s where it gets lit – literally. Jeremy doesn’t just stop at making eye-candy sculptures. He turns them into lighting pieces that do more than light up a room; they transform it. Working with Jeremy on design projects has been a blast. His pieces are like the life of the party, turning heads and sparking conversations in spaces that were just rooms before.
