Meet The Rad Hatter of LA: Nick Fouquet

Some people wear many hats. And some just wear Nick Fouquet’s handmade hats. Some of those people are pretty cool A-list celebs like Lady Gaga and Pharrel. Currently adding hat to cart.

From bouncing around the world and calling different cities home for the better part of his life, LA-based milliner Nick Fouquet realized his passion for craftsmanship through his own curious mind. As the story goes, Fouquet was stumbling through random and generally uneventful encounters until he purchased an old cowboy hat for himself. It was then his intrigue took a journey of its own—deep into the history of hatmaking he went. The importance of quality quickly landed itself as a top priority to the budding creative, because, to Fouqet, quality represents luxury and luxury should touch every facet of our lives. The evolution of hat-making has had little growth in the past 100 years, but thanks to Fouquet’s fearless approach to the age-old artform, that’s no longer the case. His experimentation with wild and unruly techniques (setting hats on fire to achieve those perfect patinas) and unusual materials (sustainably harvested Beaver fur felt) along with his inquisitive mind continue to aid in the expansion of the hat market around the globe.

Suddenly (and without warning), everyone looks good in hats.
