A Textile House That Dances Through Interiors

Poetry In Motion

Gracefully romantic, effortlessly chic. It’s the mantra of Laine + Alliage, a design atelier based in New York handcrafting thoughtful textiles, pillows, and wallpapers that are hand-painted and then printed on sustainable grasscloth, classic clay-coated paper, or nontoxic, PVC-free Type II for commercial use.

Tania Leipold, the creative force behind the brand, began her creative endeavors in fashion and quickly realized interiors had her heart. From first being inspired by Milan in the seventies to finding poetry and romance in color, movement, shape and light, her design narrative has become a whole mood and speaks to her passion for dance. But it’s an early love—growing up in Paris—that’s perhaps our favorite influence of all. Just look at their Découpage collection of pillows with graphic cut-out appliqués: That Parisian haute couture detailing has certainly lingered.
