It’s no secret that being a mom can be challenging at times. It’s not all sunshine, rainbows and mommy I love you. No, sometimes there’s a lot of messes that need to be dealt with. We are all about organizing on the front end so that those messes can be tackled quickly and efficiently. It just feels good when everything has a designated place or home—suddenly cleaning up and putting away laundry isn’t so overwhelming. We hope this roundup of functional kid’s closets will help inspire you (and make mommying in general a little bit easier.)

TIPS & TRICKS

When designing your closet make sure everything is adjustable such as the shelving and hanging rods that way the closet can grow with your child.

Having built-in drawers is great for folded clothes, accessories, underwear, and socks.  This is a major space saver. Now your child has room for playtime and maybe even a cozy reading nook.

Place hooks at a height that is easy for your child to reach so he or she can hang up their own coat and backpack. Makes getting out of the house that much fast and engrains good habits.

Shelving or cubies in the closet is a great place to display keepsakes or baskets for more storage.

Pack your child’s space with BIG personality touches that they can get excited about—that makes staying organized in the future a fun game.
